Fundamental understanding of experimental design and applied statistics
Expertise using R with large datasets
familiarity with SQL or a scripting language (PHP, Python, Perl, etc.) also a plus

The Monetization Analytics team is seeking an exceptional PhD-level, quantitatively-oriented analyst to support its advertising business. Analysts develop expertise in areas of Facebook’s advertising operations and provide recommendations fueled by detailed analysis of observational and experimental data. They work cross-functionally with Product, Engineering and Business teams and help shape the future of advertising on the Internet. The team is looking for someone specializing in statistical analysis and research design, with a strong background both designing experiments and making causal inferences from observational data. The ideal candidate will be intellectually curious, data-driven, a fast learner, and have an interest in working collaboratively to advance the team’s goals. This is a full-time position and is located in our Menlo Park, CA office.
Responsibilities
Analyze experimental and observational advertising data and provide insights regarding how to improve effectiveness
Evaluate Facebook and 3rd party measurement methodologies
Recommend product changes based on robust analysis of user and advertiser behavior
Support Measurement, Engineering and Marketing colleagues with high-quality and timely data analysis in support of new or enhanced products
